CoursesAdvisors is an independent review platform dedicated to helping learners find the best online courses across every major learning provider. We were founded on a simple premise: the online learning market is huge, opaque and fragmented, and learners deserve a single trusted place to compare courses objectively before they commit their time and money.

Our mission

Our mission is to make online learning transparent. We aggregate courses from Udemy, Coursera, edX, Pluralsight, LinkedIn Learning, Skillshare, MasterClass and many more, then we evaluate each one using a consistent methodology. Instead of relying solely on platform-reported ratings, which can vary enormously in quality and volume, we combine multiple signals to produce a balanced, trustworthy score.

How we evaluate courses

Every course listed on CoursesAdvisors is reviewed against four criteria. First, verified student reviews: we collect and analyse real learner feedback from multiple sources. Second, platform ratings: we weight official ratings by review volume and recency so that a 4.9/5 course with 50 reviews is not treated the same as a 4.7/5 course with 50,000 reviews. Third, instructor track record: we verify instructor identities and look at their history across platforms. Fourth, editorial review: a human team checks the curriculum, the last updated date, and flags any red flags.

Editorial independence

CoursesAdvisors is independent. We are not owned by any learning platform and we do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews. Where we do use affiliate links to help fund the site, we disclose this clearly, and affiliate relationships never influence our rankings or recommendations. Our editorial team is empowered to downgrade or remove any course that no longer meets our quality standards.

Who we help

We help three main audiences. Learners use CoursesAdvisors to compare courses before purchasing, to discover hidden gems from lesser-known platforms, and to avoid wasting money on low-quality content. Instructors use the platform to build a verified profile, aggregate reviews across providers and reach motivated learners. Employers and L&D teams use our data to benchmark training options and build effective learning paths for their teams.

The team

CoursesAdvisors is built and maintained by a small distributed team of engineers, editors and former instructors who have themselves taken hundreds of online courses. We combine product engineering, content review and community moderation to keep the platform useful, trustworthy and up to date.
